arocordis design celebrates 1st year anniversary

     arocordis design, an architectural, interiors and planning firm located in Montpelier, Vermont celebrated its one year anniversary November 1st.  arocordis design specializes in designing high performance workplaces, light commercial and residential design.  The firm, led by Stephen M. Frey, AIA – LEED AP, seeks in its work to cultivate inspiring places and spaces.  Whether a workplace, a retail environment or home, arocordis design infuses the work it does on behalf of its clients with their sense of mission, values and goals, syncing beauty, design and sustainability with budget and schedule.  The firm’s name combines two Latin words, ‘aro’ meaning to till, to cultivate and ‘cordis’ meaning heart and soul.
     In the past year, arocordis design has completed a high performance office expansion project with AllEarth Renewables of Williston, VT collaborating with Christine Burdick Design.  Likewise, the firm has an ongoing collaboration with Ward Joyce Design of Montpelier on ongoing planning and design work for staff housing for Gorongonsa National Park, a place of extraordinary beauty and environmental challenges located in the highlands and savannah of Mozambique. Currently, arocordis design has been retained by National Life Group headquartered in Montpelier, VT providing ongoing architectural design leadership and vendor liaison in modernization of their signature 1958 office building for their various business units.
